Bio

Ms. Gu is a patent attorney of Intelightip Beijing Office. She has been practising in the patent field since the year of 2008.  Before joining Intelightip, Ms. Gu worked as a patent counsel in a famous law firm and later joined Mercedes-Benz China as an IP Counsel Manger.

Ms. Gu has profound experience and research in multiple stages of IP, covering its formation and protection, therefore her clients can be supported with more accurate and viable expertise. Her practice covers patent application, patent invalidation, patent FTO, patent validity analysis, patent protection and patent portfolio strategy. For industry designs, she has served abundant clients from home and abroad regarding design patent application, invalidation, protection and design-around suggestions. Her recent focused area is on patent portfolio strategy and protection of vehicle industry.

Ms. Gu is well recognized by clients and peers for her conscientious and comprehensive expertise. During her working in law firms, Ms. Gu has served clients such as XPENG Smart EV, Decathlon, SEB group, Volkswagen,L’ORÉAL, LV, Adidas, GROHE, Hermès and so on.

As an in-house counsel in Mercedes, Ms. Gu was in charge of company’s IP issues in China, participated Group’s patent strategy making and global patent portfolio setting up, led China specific topic for power battery related patent portfolio setting up and patent mining, led multiple patent FTO research and risk assessment projects in China, involved in IP ownership negotiation and discussion regarding the cooperation between automotive OEM and supplier for R&D projects.
